My name is Darren Sargo and I have been working in the Engineering Industry as a Mechanical Designer for the last 9 years. I recently graduated from Robert Morris University, May 2010, earning my Masters Degree in Information Technology Project Management. My goal is to provide the highest quality services in the Pittsburgh, PA

area while succeeding in the Auto Detailing industry. I have been trained and mentored by some of the best in the industry over the last 15 years.

Twenty-five years ago on June 1, 1986, Jim’s Auto opened their doors as a small car audio and detailing shop located inside John’s Citgo on Central Street in Ipswich. Little in size, we were always big on ideas, and like any field of dreams – when we built it, you came!

Beginning June 1, Jim’s Auto begins a yearlong celebration of 25 years of excellence in the automotive detailing and restyling industry. It was customer demands for additional products and services that made Jim’s Auto the city’s favorite toy store for car lovers, carrying everything you can imagine for the automotive aftermarket, and providing the newest techniques in the detailing industry.

For those who don’t remember, 1992 was an important year for owner, Jim Goguen. “It is a challenge for a small business to step out of its comfort zone and take on more space, more products, more services, and more employees; but since we were growing in response to customer requests, we saw the expansion as necessary.” Moving into their current location at 5 Washington Street alongside TNT Car Wash, Jim’s added window tinting to their already booming detailing business and invested in a healthy inventory of truck accessories with complete automotive restyling services including vinyl lettering and graphics.

Through the years, Jim’s always carried simple car audio systems and CD players, but as higher technology took hold, Jim evolved into full blown 2000 WATT systems, and full custom navigation systems with IPod integration, Bluetooth, and car video capabilities.  

Still, it wasn’t enough! In 2001, Jim’s doubled their space to 1,200 square feet and added two work bays and a comfortable office area where customers could wait… or shop. “Detailing is not just a job to us – it is a true passion. I believe this is obvious with our existing customers who have frequented our shop for years; and is apparent with new customers, who after trying us out, turn into repeat customers. That is what spurned our growth over the past twenty-five years - listening to the needs of our customers.”

One of only 28 detailers in the U.S. asked recently to test and provide feedback on a new cleaning product launched by industry leader, Meguiars; Jim’s Auto was named both a Certified Master Detailer and Doctorate of Detailing by detailer extraordinaire, Renny Doyle’s Attention to Details training program. The double honors twice qualified Jim for the Air Force One detailing team.

Kyle Clark’s love and fascination for cars from a young age has led him to the detailing profession.
At the age of 14 Kyle received a professional buffer which opened his eyes to the detailing and cosmetic maintenance aspects of the automobile industry. He then honed and perfected his skills through high school and college auto courses.
Two short years later when 16, Kyle started detailing and maintaining the personal cars of city officials and police officers of the City of Fontana. The word quickly spread to their friends, family and businesses all over.
At the age of 17, Kyle accomplished his goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. An achievement which can only show that he is an honest and dedicated person Eagle-Scout-Badge.
